Numbered to pencil in the left bottom corner 35/50 and signed in plate and to pencil in the right inferior part. Sheet size 76 x 54 cm. Frame 82,50 x 60,50 cm. Following the 120 engravings of Desprez the edition of the work of Francois Rabelais of 1565, the Songes Drolatiques de Pantagruel, criticizes the mainly lujuriosos vices of the French monarchs of the time like Francisco I, Enrique II and of the Pontiffs and philosophers like Julio II and Cornelio Agripa. Dalí makes 25 lithographies, taking the original work and adding its perosnal interpretation.
